Doing my location post made me forget about the IS-3 lens hood
question.
I personally have had a problem with lens hoods and filters (yes
I did try a skylight) on this lens. I will get vignetting at
the 35mm setting with small apertures. I've been on the lookout
for a hood that doesn't do this.
The IS-3 isn't overly suseptable to flare as it has very good
coatings, but it is a zoom with zillions of elements. And I'd
like something rubbery out there on the end to protect it.
