Not too long ago, I walked into a local camera store looking for
a manual doubler for my OM-1. The owners comment was "we don't have
anything for that antique". Made me feel like such an old man.

Maybe I'm wrong to feel this way, but I take special pleasure in
seeing that this shop is now out of business, and I have the doubler,
and my lovely OM-1n systems! Dinosaurs reigned for millions of years!

FWIW, I came to this list intending at some point to modify at least
one of my cameras with a digital back. My (no doubt otherwise considered)
plan was to cannabilize the back of a dead body and mount the CCD detector
and electronics. One thing I have learned is that (some) detectors like
being ~20MM back from the lens VS where the film plane is (32MM?). A relay
lens built into an extension tube or doubler would then also be required.
As most of you know, there is a feel and balance to this system that (at
least to me) isn't matched by any other camera. But what do I know?
