I shot at first in SHQ. This results in a file about 1.5Meg. HQ makes a
more managable file, about 700 to 800K. The 4040 has 5 settings, ie. TIFF,
SHQ, HQ, SQ1, SQ2. I haven't shot any photos in SQ1 or SQ2 yet. I infer
that the photo quality will be highest in TIFF ( very big file) to lowest in
SQ2. Still lots of experimentation to do. We do note that photos are
noticably different in quality between SHQ and HQ. HQ photos have more of an
"internet" look to them. SHQ rivals 35mm on a computer screen and when
printed on my Epson 780 printer. I haven't done any shots in TIFF yet as all
I have is a 16MB card and TIFF fills it up with one shot. Shooting the same
scene on SHQ will allow 5 shots and HQ allows 10. So it would appear that
"resolution" is twice as dense on SHQ as HQ.

I am going to get either a 64MB or 128MB card via evilbay. 16MB isn't
enough, but that's what the camera came with.

This will also probably result in having to purchase a new computer. Our
current computer doesn't have the memory and so forth to do justice to this
new photo technolgy. And then I need a higher resolution monitor. Sheesh!
