My camera's an OM-4T in top condition..., not Mamiya Sekor DL500
My screen is an Olympus 2-13, not a 1-13 ($25 I could have saved, but its much
better)
My computer is a Dell, not a Kmart Blue Star
My sneakers are Adidas Superstar, not Walmart
My ignition parts are Blue Streak, not motorcraft
My cars' paint is Chroma Base acrylic urethane, not enamel
My VCR is a JVC HR-S9600, not an Emerson
My TV is the 36" Tosh Cinema Series CN36G97, not a 27" GE
My sound system is Surround Sound, not just Stereo
My parrot is a Quaker, not a Canary
My phone is a Panasonic 2.4Gig with speaker, not a Conair
My house is in Long Island, NY, not a trailer park (not that there's anything
wrong with those)
My 3 cars are restored classics, not Yugos
My tools are Craftsman, not S-K
My mayonaisse is Hellmans, not Kraft
My ketchup is Heinz, not Del Monte

Yes, its true my living is about one tenth the list average (from the sound of
it), but I do invest in some higher end things. I do a fair amount of research
of cost verses advantage, and find MANY lower cost brands, and even off-brands
BETTER or at least equal to some top brand stuff.
And, yeah, if I believe something is not worth such a widespread difference in
price, I may mention it. I notice the doctors, and wealthier businessmen on the
list get the most annoyed at those comments because they only experience floods
of money, and truly believe everyone is responsible for their own degree of
success.
I do try to describe the alternate choices for the same photographic results
using more affordable equipment. If I can link to a test result showing my
point, I try to.

I wasn't saying anything against Beattie screens, as I have not tried any. I
was only pointing out that it must be still around based on the probable
astronomic profit margin :) It wasn't a "serious" "bitter" comment in the
least.
