What a great range ! I'm sure you'll be happy with it.
I've been very pleased with every Vivitar lens I've had.
Zuikos are good, but I do enjoy using Vivitars - I keep a polarizing filter on
for protection, mostly.

The only reason it wasn't sold as new or like new was that the box
was a bit scratched from being in stock for a while.
All original packing and it looks like it was never even mounted on a body.

Bad points first. It is a beast by Zuiko standards. Big and heavy.
Variable f stop which I have learned how to live with over the years.
It needs to be refocused when you change focal length.
67m filter size (I don't have any that size yet).
It does balance better with a winder attached but I plan to use it on
a tripod most of the time so I can forgo the winder.
With the winder and a T-32 on a bracket it is as heavy as a Mamiya 645
outfit.
(guess I need a 35-70 for my event work...shhhhh).

Good points. It is virtually a new lens. It is in top condition.
It will replace a 28mm 3.5 - 50mm 1.8 - 85mm 2 - 100mm 2.8 - 135mm 2.8
and some extension tubes in the field. It is as fast as can be expected at
2.8.
If I eventually get a 100 - 300 I am set (Or am I?). For now I work with
shorter lenses anyway.
This lens will sit on my OM2 and the OM1 will take care of studio type
duties
with the prime lenses.
I am praying that I am satisfied with its performance. After all I am used
to Zuikos.

My next dilemma to tackle is what lens shade to use and do I need to
get all thin filters.

Cheers
Charlie
