My worst/best scenario was actually a 'sound technician' situation. Ran
sound for the memorial service of the son of some friends. We always make
audio recordings for the family. The norm is for an 'open mike' time for
recollections and anecdotal stories in remembrance of the deceased. Well,
about a month after the service, yours truly went looking for the masters of
this service, and they had vanished. The family starts asking for their
copies of the service, I start sweating profusely and fear the worst... that
they've been re-used.
Some time later, I'm sitting at my wife's desk (she's an associate pastor at
my church), and there right in front of my eyes, square in the middle of her
desk are the masters of this service. She didn't really know how they got
there, or where they'd been.
Needless to say, I immediately made several copies and got them all to the
family.
OM content.... I was surfing E*ay at the time looking for OM gear when I
'found' the tapes. Who says there isn't a God?
