In the past, (here in the U.S.) I purchased a few new "grey market" lenses
(non-Oly).....the term "grey market", as it applies in the U.S., usually
means the item does not carry a U.S. warranty and in the event of a problem
you will probably have to pay to get the item repaired. The item may not be
quite the same as the U.S. version...in OM terms, you might get an OM-40
when you were expecting an OM-PC. I never had a lens problem so the repair
issue didn't come up.
