Also, has thought been given to moving the list to one of the
commercial servers to reduce Giles' maintenance overhead? I read
lists on Topica.com and yahoogroups.com, and they are both pretty
reliable.
So long as it stays text ... most Web-based mail readers I've seen
are very mouse-intensive and not at all designed for processing email
quickly. I haven't counted, but I'll bet I'm getting 40-50 messages a
day off this list. To have to log in somewhere and fight the
interface to read stuff ... especially when it's so easy to skip
threads here: Alt- (Option-)click and delete.
