Excellent idea Hank.

Thanks for sharing it.

Henrik - and reversal ring enthusiasts -

I think the most important thing to do right away is to make a rear
element guard out of a
plastic back protector (you could also use a 7mm extension tube if you
have an extra).
The black plastic back cap for a Zuiko lens can be converted to a
reversed lens protector
by:
1) drilling a large hole in the center of the cap.

2) To this drilled out cap glue on a 49-55mm filter step up ring using
Devcon 5 minute epoxy glue.

3) Find the spot where the stop down actuator meets the inside edge of
the cap and glue in a
small metal piece like a carpet tack with Devcon 5 minute epoxy glue
so that when the cap
is over the rear element of the lens the stop is actuated.

Now you have a back element protector to which a filter or a ring flash
or twin flash can be
attached. It is very important to protect the rear element of a lens
reversed onto a camera !

You could just use a 7 mm or other extension tube but gluing on the
filter step up ring really
helps if you use a Ring Flash which I almost always do.

Contact me off list for more hints -
