That are no scratches and not the trap of pinholes in the curtain (the lab
did you exclude, and I think you are wright). It's light coming in
somewhere. If it does not grow much lighter on the pictures before or after,
when you paused winding for a longer time, then I suppose the 2 curtains are
not tight, when you wind the film. Only during this movement the light
reaches the film. If the back is not tight, or the curtain has a pinhole,
the light will reach the film all the time it is not advanced and so will
increase a light spot or something like that.
My second idea is: may be the back becomes bent or something, when you hold
it very strong, while you rewind the film. The old aluminium back is not
very strong and can easily be damaged.
