5 ommission to someone for professionally condition grading and
checking functionality is a great insurance investment! One sales
return alone would probably cost you much of that. If you also paid for
an appraisal, you would have a chance to recoop that cost just on the
power of savvy pricing alone.
A statement: "independently conditioned graded as XXX" would go along
ways to reducing buyer anxiety, esp. when you detail the reasons why.
So would any truthful statements you back up with a guarantee, like:
accurate shutter speed
accurate metering
perfect electronics
perfect mechanics
perfect optics.
By paying for a professional inspection, you can make those claims
without worry.
You'll usually get at least 5-15% more than an average Joe who just says
"clean" or "excellent" and keeps it at that.
