: Reversing ring is cheapest, but:

:        leaves your rear element unhealthily exposed

:        disables TTL metering (except for OTF auto)

:        disables aperture stop-down (have to hold it closed with a penny
:        & rubber band over the d-o-f preview button or something).


These three disadvantages can be eliminated by putting a manual extenstion ring
on the reversed lens. In this case it can be used as a lens with manually
stopped down ttl metering.
