Hi Alan,

I don't think that the Zuiko is an ED lens, but it does perform very well wide
open. You will need a sturdy tripod to get good reuslts form this or any other
300
lens, although I have gotten decent results handholding with very fast film.
(shootting at 1/1000 - 1/2000.) I purchased mine used about six months ago for
$275.00. The glass and mechanics are in perfect shape, but cosmetically it
shows a
fair amount of use. Finding one for $250 would be tough I think, I felt that
even
with the cosmetic condition of mine it was a good price. The going range for one
in EX or better condition is probably in the $375 - $450 range. You might want
to
look at aftermarket lenses. Tamron has a f5.6 adaptall that you can probably get
with the OM adapter for about $200 - $250. I would guess that Sigma, Tokina, and
Vivatar have something similar as well.
