  I assume you're talking about a 1-hr. lab.

  1) Ask and find out who makes the best prints at that lab.
  2) Make sure your prints & film are processed ONLY by that person,
     and indicate that you are willing to wait if necessary.
  3) Run one test roll through that machine and operator to see how
     things go before getting into particulars. I mean a TEST roll,
     not one that has crucial imagery on it.
