I haven't checked what the pro-labs charge for just processing because we
don't (Yet!) have a scanner that will to negs.  So, that's (Currently!) be
useless for us as we wouldn't be able to view the results.


Chris, you're not thinking straight -- you get the pro lab to do the actual negative development, and then take the negs to a regular lab for normal processing. Ask the pro lab to do a proof sheet, inspect the proof sheet using a loupe, and then take *only* the negs you want re-done to someplace like London Drugs. Even though you have to use their reprint service (more expensive than the first-time processing), unless you're printing over half the roll you'll probably come out ahead in the end. That's what I used to do before I got the Sprintscan. Now I just get "neg only" development and scan everything (occasionally I still ask for a proof sheet).
