Say what?  My 35/shift looks MC to me.  In other words
it exhibits colors in the coatings that my SC lenses
don't have.  It also has a black nose!  However, the
serial number appears to be rather low.

I don't think I've ever seen a true single-coat lens
made since 1970 though.  All SC Zuikos have multiple
coatings and they changed the formulation on some
lenses before the promotion of MC.  I believe that the
MC lenses essentially add a layer or two of new
reflecting colors to set them apart from the
predecessors.
