You wanna talk hot? I had a friend (passed away two
years ago of cancer), that made the most incredible
Texas Chili. Not a bean or tomato to be found. He
competed for years and always came runner-up to the
guy next to him. The winning chili had a quart of
10w-30 in it.

On a related note, let's talk BBQ sauce here: My
all-time favorite BBQ sauce is found in Bellevue,
Washington at Dixie's BBQ. That guy has a hot-sauce
called "The Man." I'm a connisour of fine sauces and
his sauces are the best I've ever had--anywhere.
Wimpy, Microsoft types, need not try it.

A couple weeks ago I ate at Big Daddy's in Des Moines
(not related to any other Big Daddy's BBQ anywhere
else). This sauce is billed at the country's hottest
sauce! Without a doubt it qualifies! He has a
$10,000 challenge which nobody has ever won! I
ordered my sandwich (excellent smoked meat) with the
"house hot" put on (very tasty), and placed about a
teaspoon of the "Is That Your Final Answer" sauce on
it. The owner (wonderful shtick), came over and sat
down next to me to see if I was going to be able to
eat the sandwich. A few bites into it, I determined
that it wasn't hot enough so I put more on (around a
tablespoon). I'm halfway through the sandwich
suffering just a mild sweat when he asks me if I'd
like to try an experimental sauce that he doesn't
sell. Not to be accused of not trying something, I
foolishly said "sure". With glee, he jumps up runs to
the kitchen and comes trotting back with a small jar
of this slightly brown goo. I pop a toothpick into it
and taste it. Different taste, but not hot. "How is
it?" "Ok, I guess." I go back to my sandwich, but a
few seconds later the heat from this stuff hits! I'm
in agony, and the heat from this other pepper
activates the heat from the "ITYFA" sauce. My stomach
suddenly says "I'm full", but I go ahead and eat the
rest of my sandwich. Conversation around the table
continues on while I nurse a choclate brownie. I
could handle the "ITYFA" sauce, but this guy's
experimental sauce was a bit more than I could handle
when included with the other sauce.

I've eaten the hottest stuff around, but this was
definitely the hottest I've ever had. The stuff I get
from Barbados doesn't even come close.

Ken
