  First things first...if you run across another 40mm or exotic OM piece
at a good price and you don't jump for it, let me know off-list

  I have used them many times in the past. They provide a high POV, which
is a change of pace, and are incredibly useful with group portraits as
well. Famous landscape photographer and master printer Eddie Ephraums
lugs one around regularly (a good, light aluminum one), and Ansel Adams
modified his cars with shooting platforms on the roof. The answer to your
question is, yes.

  Because there was enough ambient light.

  I have two 135/2.8 Zuikos and one 135/3.5, and more in Nikkors. A mighty
useful focal length and usually razor-sharp.
