I got into the OM system in the mid-70s. I was a teenager and wanted to get
into photography and read everything I could get my hands on. OM was fairly
new and I really liked that it was small and light, but had a complete
system behind it. Probably the fact that it was different actually helped.

Over a few years I ended up with an OM-1MD and OM-2MD. Added a BG2 and T32
and a Vivitar 70-150/3.8 zoom (still have the lens, like it better than the,
gasp, Zuiko, in some ways).

I was a yearbook photographer (ok, just cemented my geekhood). Rolled my
own 40 exposure Tri-X, developed and printed myself. Over a couple years I
ran literally thousands of shots through the camera.

Used it through the early 80s and then it all went in the closet until last
year. Got it out to shoot the kids sports and made a serious mistake. I
joined this list.....
