Hal,
I'm sure you will get a lot of different opinions about this but here's my
thoughts as a non-professional: I had a big dedicated (non-olympus) flash,
with zoom swivel tilt-head, but then I got a used $2 (US) small flash which
was much less powerful but much more convenient. It easily fit into any
pocket, and so I used it probably about 80-900f the time.

Conclusion: unless you will be shooting outdoors or long distances, get an
olympus t-20.
