I presume that MCv.2 is the one identified as 'Made in Japan' on the front
ring instead of just 'Japan'- I handled one today and it seemed much
lighter than my 'Japan' version (2,6xx,xxx). Is there much difference in
quality given the aditional coating (ie. should I rush back and grab it?)
Incidently, I bought a cheap 28/2.8 today and it had a very deep back cap
on it - a full inch deep instead of the usual half inch. Any idea what this
is for?
Andrew
