JB weld is an epoxy, but a thick paste. I used and suggest a relatively
thin 5-minute epoxy which pretty much leveled itself after being dripped
into the hole via a toothpick. It doesn't take much to fill the indention.
Finishing off took only a little work with some 320 grit wet & dry paper,
used dry, and wrapped around a popsicle stick. The fix has lasted well over
a year with no sign of deterioration, and it is on a Tamron 400/4.

Good luck
Gary
