No, but plenty of guns on the premises and both the
bride and groom well versed in the operation of said
items.

GULP!

Seriously, a professional photographer is hired when
you want to ensure a certain degree of competence. As
always, there is a degree of risk for both parties. A
professional photographer is paid to assume as many of
those risks as possible. To that end I wouldn't have
accepted the job had I even thought for a second that
I wouldn't beable to deliver professional results to
her or anybody else. The client-service provider
relationship was clearly established and the
expectations were outlined up front. There are risks
in every aspect of our lives. Is it wise to
photograph your boss's wedding? Generally, not. But
as a professional wedding photographer there is a code
of conduct that supercedes the personal relationships.

This wedding required serious adaptation of the
"standard images" that are normally taken. Any form
of "softness" or "feminity" were tossed out the
window. He bought her a dozen roses. Otherwise it
was a horses and ribs theme with plenty of Budwiser
tossed down. I had to get him to remove the
half-dozen pens from his shirt pocket and her to
remove the five pounds of keys hanging from her
beltloop before the "ceremony" began.

I think the photographs will be just fine.

Ken
