I agree, you did overpay by a bit. You should do penance by selling it to me
for what you think its worth. Please E mail me off-list for details. :-)
Or I can trade you for a slightly dinged 24/2?? There is this 10mm gap in my
collection between the 80 macro and the 90/2.8 Sigma macro that needs to be
filled up you see.
Last week I did find a 24/2 for $100. The filter ring was dented but the
block of wood technique straightened it out enough to be usuable. But the
diaphragm also is very sticky. I've been watching this lens for about a year
at $300 at a local show until the "new guy" moved the stuff around on the
shelves and lowered the price by 2 bills.
I've heard to use no lube at all when cleaning the blades. I may send it to
Hermanson to CLA this.
