I haven't looked at the August prices, but the most recent flyer from
Midwest lists the prices as I just quoted.
As Gary states, and same applies to Columbus Camera, prices listed are
starting prices. For instance, Midwest has Vivitar 285's for a price of
$109, NIB. Regular selling price is $69 if you ask...

Columbus Camera sets their eBay prices to match the store price. Period.
They also have internal problems, at least Eric does, when item is sold in
store and then they have to pull eBay ad. Eric will whine because someone
wants to buy an item in the store that is also on eBay. Geez, why doesn't
he grow up? If the item is for sale in the store, it is for sale isn't it?

My guess is that most store traffic is on weekends, not a time I go to that
store. There are usually one-four people in the store when I am there.
similar traffic at Midwest. But, phone rings a lot more at Midwest.

Hi Brian:

Midwest Photo has higher prices in August Shutterbug for the items you
are quoting. No wonder, considering the page charges they are paying for
3 full pages! Buyer beware when ordering something and quoting a
Shutterbug ad price - these are ASKING PRICES. Your mileage may vary on
actual sales prices.

Columbus Camera Group, on the other hand, continues to scale back the
size of their ads. I wonder if their eBay reserves match their ad
prices, since they sure seem to have lots of "reserve not met" auctions?
That place getting much foot traffic besides yours???

Speaking of Shutterbug, their shift lens article failed to mention the
24mm Zuiko on a list of available shift lenses in 35mm. Tisk-tisk.
