====Fastest way to reset a 2N is to push the meter switch up to "Battery
Check".
Other way is to turn shutter speed dial to red B (while holding in small B
Lock button).

Reverting back to the OM2, The "B" setting is supposed to unlock the mirror
and this is supposed to be needed when batteries are replaced. NO?
Mine never has needed this procedure. It is not locked up after changing
batteries.
I only have a manual for the OM2n so I may be wrong. Am I?
BTW, I took out the OM2 the other day and the mirror locked up on the first
frame.
"B" did not release it. I needed to wind the film advance twice to get back
into sequence. This is how it always happened and I once thought it was a
defect.
I immedietly put in new batteries and it is working fine.
This is mentioned only to verify that even with seemingly good 357's they
sometimes are not quite fresh enough to do the job.
By the time the battery check light would not glow brightly it would be much
too late.
Am I alone in this?
