Yes, there were - and lately I purchased one (new!) on eBay for $93.
I received it last week in the original box, a few large parts and
many little plastic bags with small parts. I haven't had time for
assembling yet.. there is a kind of assembling manual in the box.
It seems to be a beatiful piece. Seller told me it must have cost at
least $250 in the early 80's. Might be more now.
They are discontinued but Ikelite might make one on special demand...
