No timer, no MLU.  Bummer, eh?  Can't really answer the last question. I
would guess it has something to do with making a fully mechanical camera
that gives you the sophistication of the OM-4T-type multi-spot metering,
etc.  I can tell you that I'm shooting mainly mechanical cameras outside at
the moment. 8^0  OM-3Ti would be pretty nice.

Of course, for the price I could have a couple additional OM2000's and a
35-80/2.8.
