Not with the OM-4 but with the OM-2S, which is probably similar. In a
recent shoot (that Ken Norton wrote about last week) my OM-2S with Tri-X in
it locked up. I assumed that the batteries were weak and so changed them
to new Varta SR-44's. That didn't resolve the problem. I put the body in
the pocket on the inside of my coat for about 1/2 hour, and for the rest of
the day I was then able to shoot with no problem.

At home I checked the "old" batteries and they were indeed powered down.
But the new batteries were very strong and fresh, so I attribute the
problem mainly to cold in this situation. Next time I buy a winter coat,
I'm going to make sure it has two of those inside pockets if possible.
