A bit long. Little OM content. Delete at will.

So, just picked up roll of SensiaII 400 that I shot the Leonids with.

Good news: got one VERY nice meteor above Orion, reddish.

Since I don't have a slide scanner, nor am I experienced enough to fiddle
with one at school, I asked if a Cibachrome could be made. Nope, but they
have Type R prints...what is that? Interneg?

The other news: this was my first experience with slide film. The
three or so terrestrial exposures decent for the most part (so my meter is
OK :-)) Wished for a little less exposure on one outdoor snap, and a
little more exposure on an indoor dome.

Bad news: I didn't get any other leonids on film, even though is saw some
truly spectacular ones. I attribute this to sky fog. Yes, I should have
listened and kept exposures short; most mine were ~15minutes on the 28mm
f:3.5 G.Zuiko wide open, filterless, with hood. Sky fog likely wiped out
anything else. But there is hope: there's another roll sitting in the
camera, and I pray I get something better on that one :-) Maybe if I new
the slides on a projector or on a proper light table using a loupe, I'll
find more streaks. There are a couple of frames that I can't ID. Looks
sorta like a meteor exploded ("train"?) and the spreading particles
continued moving...
For now, I held the slides in front of a monitor (no, not the Sony, an old
Compaq), full contrast, bull brightness, and used the 50/1.8 held
backwards as a loupe :-)
One two frames, looked like I kicked the tripod or moved it ever so
slightly during star exposure.

General notes: slide film is /thin/! Colors are gorgeous, and I'm sold on
it; no more print for my personal shooting. Found out the hard way that
the slide-mount thingy (that plastic deal) is NOT re-useable. That is, I
thought they were snap-closures--snap open, snap close. Opened one to try
scanning the slide on a flatbed (nope, doesn't work, but I wanted to try),
and now I know why it made popping sounds as I pried it open....
Viewed at an angle, the emulsion's thickness vs exposures is visible,
which is cool.

Bottom line: I'll try to manage a halfway decent scan and upload the good
photo Monday for your critique. If you shot something, please share.
