Well even one with a Ph.D. in physics (lasers, spectroscopy and so 
on), who is working for a machine tool/laser company ... But Joey 
already did a very good job in discussing the problem, much better 
than I could have done in my second-language-English.

Another comment on 35 vs. MF: I have a pretty good camera for 
hand held MF photography: A Plaubel Makina 67 folding camera. It is a 
modern rangefinder camera with leaf shutter and a Nik*n lens. The 
results with 1/15 s and 1/8 s are mostly good. The hand holding 
capability is similar to the Leica M (which is my camera #5, #1 to 3 
are OMs; I somehow have a weakness for compact, elegant, classical 
cameras..).
