I mostly use the OM4Ti with 90mm macro hand-held and do not think vibration is
a
problem, possibly because of my body acting as a damper and absorbing the
vibrations.

I recently did some lens testing of some tele lenses, this was before the
recent discussion of the 4Ti self timer aperture pre fire and MLU. I tried out
Olympus' recommendation of using the tripod to just support the lens while
holding
the lens with one hand and the camera body with the other. The results were
sharp
as a tack to my eyes. Only one or two slides out of 20 or more had any hint of
shake that I could detect, and it was slight.

I think if you adopt Olympus' recommendation of hand holding with tripod
support
then the supposed vibration problem isn't - a problem that is. I would not
avoid an OM3 or 3Ti for what I believe is a misplaced fear.

Try some tests for yourself. I intend to do a MLU vs hand supported comparison
in
the near future.
