To summarise the best advice: make a lensboard out of an OM body cap
using a retaining ring. Any advice on making the 39mm hole?
You might want to invest in a step bit. These things are really
handy! Just keep drilling until it is a bit too big, then back off
one step. :-)
(I use a similar rule to avoid investing in a torque wrench: "Turn
until it strips, then back off 1/4 turn... :-)
