To compress using PSP, simply choose "File: Save As" and save the file as
type JPEG (.jpg). You'll see a button marked "options" somewhere along the
line (I went from PSP3 to PSP5 so I dunno the exact sequence with 4!) which
will take you to a scroll bad to set the compression level. Choose
somewhere around 20, that's generally a good compromise between quality and
file size.
