Alas, I asked a few labs around if they could set the machine to print
prints uncorrected. "Nope, can't be done." The machines seem to be rather
new, Fujis. I'll give it another shot and hope it works. However, it's not
much of a concern to me, as after seeing some Elitechromes at work, there
is no print that will impress me. In fact, I'm thinking of leaving the
prints to events where people will want to hold onto copies (family
gatherings and the like) and shoot E6 for myself. Processing is a cool
US$5.15, locally where I get my prints; haven't priced the film itself.
(For reference, I get 26 4" single prints for just under 2 bucks on
Crystal Archive, and Superia 400 (old version, dated to mid-2000) at a
buck-fifty a roll for 24exps! (limit 35). If anyone locally wants, lemme
know, as I still have 12 rolls before limiting.) Oh well, so much for a
rant. I'll try to get a photo of the dam around here tomorrow morn, and
some loony f:4 pix ;-) Actually, I'll try to shoot that under the moon
(full tonight, iirc). Best,
