Where do we start:

The 35-180 zoom lens is EXCELLENT!!!!  (yes, I'm shouting).
The various exposure modes are highly flexible and complete.
The winder is quick.
Loading is easy and fast.
Viewfinder is bright (2-x series screen) and accurate.
Flash is powerful.
Usability is high.

Picture results (yes the reason why buy cameras) are terrific.  The labs
constantly remark as to the sharpness of my pictures.

Ruggedness?  Well, I wouldn't hammer nails with it, but it appears to be
tougher than the average wonderbrick these days.  Compared to a Rebel, the
IS-3 is a Nikon F5.

I'll shut up now and let others say more.  Nope, you can't buy mine.
