Are you sure they were talking about the F140 converter? I reckon there were
a few others made, and this was specifically matched to the 400/4, and
possibly some 300/2.8 incarnations.

Anyway, let me repeat that the vignetting is very "soft", meaning that the
transition from darker edges to the brighter center is very even, most
certainly impossible to notice when projecting, and difficult to notice on a
light board. It shouldn't put off even the most demanding person, and in
this instance I'm really demanding!
(All above experiences applies to the 400/4 of course).

Hans, are yours 2x an SP flatfield?
