[OM] Amateur 200/300 prime recommendation

Subject: [OM] Amateur 200/300 prime recommendation

I've gotten back into photography over the past few months and have
built up a small collection of lenses. While I'm a big believer in
intermediate zooms (37-70, 28-80, etc) for their vast utility, I've
been less impressed with my 80-200 zoom as I tend to shoot at the
extremes much more often than in between. So, in the name of economy,
I'm thinking a 200 or 300 prime would be a good lens to fit between
my 28-80 zoom and my 500 mirror lens.

Given that, I'm a serious amateur and not a pro. Lots of things that
make a lens worth $500 and up to a pro simply can't be justified in
my case. I do a lot of landscape and nature photography and some
music and sports photography. For snapshots, my wife's p&s does a
fine job.

So I'd like to find a few recommendations and scour the used lens or
third party lists or a deal on a 200 or 300 in the under $250 range,
preferably cheaper.

Any suggestions?
