In a message dated 98-10-15 14:14:13 EDT, you write:

<< The natering nabobs of negatism (editors) couldn't imagin why ANYBODY would
ever need such a speedy computer and lamented that just maybe, Compaq's
machine was TOO fast.>>

Are you raising the ghost of Spiro Agnew to help bring across your point?
Take care lest you stub your toe on a potatoe, or find your girlfriend eschews
Shout! BTW I can type no faster on a 386 Compaq than on my new 300MHz Pentium
II at work.

<<Not all old tools are obsolete. For what they are designed to do, the OM
bodies are the best.>>

One thing bothers me about the F5 color matrix metering system, which says
"trust me because 'the Force is with me' along with the brains of Ansel Adams
and perfect exposures taken of thousands of photos in difficult exposure
situations" and that is, if I understand Ansel Adams correctly, that I am no
longer visualizing the entire process from exposure to printing because I
don't know exactly what the camera is doing. It's a high tech Ouija board and
threatens to take art and creativity away. I suppose if film is an expendable
commodity spent to get that needed shot in a professional setting, I will set
it on autobracketing at 8 FPS and net about 4 shots per roll. No thanks, I'd
rather have an Olympus.

Thanks for listening to my rantings.
