I can't agree with that assessment unless you are limiting customer support
to free instruction manuals for discontinued items or free winder covers.
Both Canon and Nikon *excel* at professional caliber support. Drop your 300
f/2.8 AF IF APO superlens and knock the optical alignment out of kilter.
Now, package it up and call the repair center. They will send you, a
working pro, a loaner lens while yours is being repaired. THAT is customer
support at a professional level. Olympus hasn't even thought of that -
likely never will. That is one of the biggest reasons Canon, even after
sticking it to a very loyal customer base by changing lens mounts with the
EOS line, has displaced Nikon as number one in the pro ranks. First class
customer support is expensive. It is also worth every penny when your
livelyhood depends on it.
