I would even jump at a camera with the exact feature set of the D500L or
D600L (resolution, etc) except that took OM interchangable lenses and
allowed for manual exposure and focus. Resolution to me isn't all that
important... if I want to print something I use film, my biggest problem
with them is lack of flexibility (though the DxxxLs go a long way to fix
that compared to other digitals).
