insert tounge firmly in cheek...........

With increased use of all these PCC's (Professional Caliber Cameras) our
nation's trade deficit is increasing incredibly given they cost 10 times as
much as a P&S (point-n-shoot) and get just as many good pictures per roll as
a typical PCC. This increases consumption greatly, as PCC's need lots of
additional accessories, wear and tear on peoples' patience as PCC
photographers fiddle with all those accessories getting just the right one
attached while everyone else waits, and increases our dependence on the
Japanese economy greatly as all PCC's come from there. Unless people really
"need" a professional level 35mm camera (actually use it to earn a living to
pay their bills and feed their family), they should think twice about doing
so.

extract tounge from cheek.........

The real point is people are going to buy what they want and can afford,
regardless of any other larger social context. And so be it. My wants and
needs are very different than the SUV mentality, which I just plain don't
understand. But the car makers are going to capitalize on it and folks are
going to stroke their egos with them. So I'll keep buying neat Oly
equipment because I enjoy it, not because I "need" to or have a social
obligation to meet, and go about taking photos of this magnificent universe
of ours for my own selfish pleasure.

Oly content, none, sorry.
