Sorry I missed the get together in Buena Park. I was off the list while on
vacation. Hope I am around for the next one so I can meet you guys.
I did get a good buy there on my 50mm/3.5 macro about a year ago and my
OM1n was a fair buy, but not much else.
Some guy there wanted $350 for a 35-70/F3.6 last month and it had the wrong
size lens cap jammed inside the lens barrel. It was too dark to tell much
about its condition. It seemed about a hundred dollars too expensive even
if it was just about perfect anyway.
I know that 3 or 4 years ago when there was more Oly stuff at the Buena
Park photo show and I was looking for a Winder 2, most of the dealers
priced some pretty beat up winders within a few bucks of B&H's new price.
And, I made the mistake of trying to bargain with some guy at the Samy's
camera table over an F280 flash and had him snatch it out of my hand and
turn his back in a display of rudeness.
Sometimes you are lucky though.
