Hi James:
There is no such thing as a set value on used equipment. Dealers like to base
prices on McKeown and Broom's (as I think they are called) guides, but that is
an uninspired way to price. One needs to have a pulse on the market and price
accordingly. It is exceeding hard to do it right, but that is the fun of it!
Especially when one gets to the point of knowing more than a dealer and coming
out with a win-win deal. Then again, maybe THEY know better what things sell
for at less than marked prices and actually have the upper hand on us?
