I (FvL) certainly hope I am not. But I agree with Marco, to whom I
sold twice through eBay  ;-)
I also made a lot (about 25 items) of purchases during the last year.
I must say that for buyers the site has become less attractive with
time. Too many of them, I guess. For selling it has improved, because
of the same fact. I sold a few 'OM-bodies for the tinkerer'  thru
eBay, and I was pleased with the number of bids. The selling fees are
very low. 
And another thing: if you have no idea of the value of an item you
want to get rid of, eBay is most helpful: The buying market is large
enough to set a good and realistic value for your item.

eBay also helps in building a network of people who do have the odd
Olympus item for sale, which they now offer privately since they know
I am a collector. This happened 4 times to me already. And I do the
same, the other way around.
I would like to have a system like eBay running in Europe, but it just
isn't feasible until we have one currency here. Transatlantic shipment
fees are way too high.
