As another happy user of a 2-4 screen in an OM4Ti, I have noticed that
phenomenon. Also I have noticed that the "focus" plane of the pattern
is not the same as the screen itself. The pattern has some resemblance
to the auxiliary mirror for the light meter, which can be seen through
the main mirror. But I doubt that there is any connection. Is this seen
when using a modified 2-series screen in an OM1 or OM2? (You have to be
really out of focus, best looking at a lamp)

FWIW, I too highly recommend a 2-series screen as an excellent investment.
