Echoing Moose's thoughts on improved batteries...

I just got back from two weeks in Australia with my Sony A9. I had two
batteries with me, I mistakenly started out the trip with a battery at
11% and another at 45%. That lasted me the first week, and then was
finally able to charge them up. I just checked my battery that was
recharged to 100% and after another full week of photos. 33%. Never
did go to my second battery.

However, it goes without saying, that the batteries in the A7mk2 have
the attention span of a squirrel.

Yeah, the 1000maH FW50 was another battery that required back-ups and attention. Sony had used it in several things, including video.

The FZ100 for your A9, 2200maH, is used in the A7 III series, A7C and later bodies. Oddly enough, it's also twice the weight and almost twice the volume.  🙂 It's one of the things I like about my A7C.

Only now I have a bunch of OEM and third party batteries for cameras I've sold
on . . .
