Hi Wayne,
What a fantastic childhood playground!
It was great, now the hole in the ground is being filled with
tailings and overburden. Back then we could sit on the edge
and throw rocks into the dark in the old open stope.
Health & Safety would have a fit these days. Strangely,
I dont think any of us every had an accident. You sort of
figured out what was a stupid thing to do... :)
The old Mt Charlotte Underground Mine headframe is
long gone, thats the headframe over the Cassidy Shaft,
think they called it the same name.
