I got 3 out of 5 correct.

4 for 5 here. 😁

Honestly, the comparison could have been between ANY two modern
pro-grade cameras of the past 10 years. Once edited and presented in a
dumbed down non-pixel-peeping manner, even a lowly E-M1 Mk2 would hold
up well in this test. Provided that the ISO is near base and not
cranked up to 6400.

Not entirely clear as yet, but it appears the OM-1 will lower their noise. I agree that the E-M1 II is darn good at moderate ISOs.

The three I got right? Oh, that's easy. The ones that had human skin
in them. The two I got wrong were wild guesses and I guessed wrong on
both. Canon skintones look awesome unless you directly compare them to
the skintones from an Olympus or Fujifilm camera. Then you realize
just how putrid they are.

Anyway, I didn't zoom in to pixel peep, just glanced at the presented
thumbnails on a really cr*ppy monitor. But it was obvious as the day
is long (Alaska summer, not winter) which skintones were Canon.

Other than that, I do agree with Roger and gang. We've long since
passed the point of diminishing returns. And that's why I'm less than
hyped about the new OM-1 digital camera.

I agree about simple IQ from the sensor systems.

For me, it's what OMS is now calling "Computational Features" that drive the
ability to get shots I couldn't get before.
