Yeah, extra steps. But it doesn't need to be too bad. Install PL4 with LR closed. It installs a short-cut in LR. File=>Plug-in Extras=>Export to DxO PhotoLab 4.

Then in PL4, lower right, export button has a default choice of LR. You can also export directly to PS, but that bypasses having whatever you save after PS editing show up in LR automatically.

Curiously prime seems better for some less noisy images at least in the past.

Before Prime went Deep, I had a perfect pair of examples showing it better on one image and something else (NeatImage??) better for the other.

I don't think I can use ACR to process Marnie's astro shots as the distortion
correction is baked in and that distorts the stars.

That is annoying. Smart move on Oly/Panny's part, though. No one using LR/ACR ever sees how much linear distortion their lenses have!

I may use PL4 and try just a touch of deep prime before stacking. I read it
is better to process the raws first and stack the tiffs though Sequater will
work with raws. That is not a universal opinion.

I just spent an hour experimenting to make that determination and have no
images to show for it yet.

That's the problem with a lot of post stuff, lots of experimentation to find
out what works for you and your camera/files.

Slow but deliberate, Mike
